SWAN SONG

Made in 9 days for Godot Wild Jam #98, with a theme of "Signal".

Instructions

Process a signal from outer-space using the instruments at your disposal and Discrete Fourier Transforms (DFT).

First, try to find how the signal is divided into data points, by splitting it into it's component frequencies until you have a matching signal. Read the signal data and submit your report.

Lastly, find how a complex signal converts into an image drawn with epicycles.

Controls

Mouse only.

I was extremely confused because I started the game and stepped away. When I returned, I’d missed the initial story bit completely and was in the first signal UI. Assuming I’d missed something, I refreshed the page to start again and went straight into the signal UI. Nevertheless I finished and later figured out to reset the game from the options menu to get the initial story.

Anyway, excellent UI and good interpretation of the theme. You could just release the spirograph part as a toy and it would be amazing!

The story is super good. The actual game, I did not understand that well, although that could just be the lack of my IQ. The draw speed slider made drawing pretty buggy and super fast, which I'm not sure was intended. Otherwise pretty cool and goofy conclusion :D

Oh no, that slider is totally broken after the first stage. Thanks for letting me know.

Pushed a fix! Thanks again for reporting that.

No worries
