Launch of The Cat With Eight

The Cat With Eight is a game about my childhood cat, Tiger.

I made this game for the Godot Wild Jam #63. The theme was "Cats!". A single play-through takes about 10 minutes.

I tried a lot of different things during this jam, and learned something new. I went for a more scenario/story-driven adventure, rather than systems or simulation-based games. I also tried to make all the art. In both cases, I made major miscalculations. I had to cut down the story to 1/8 of the original scope. Similarly with the art, I was trying to go for a style similar to that of Baba Is You, to compensate for my lack of skill. Except, I did a lot of things wrong replicating it, and gave myself a lot more work in the end.

Making this game reminded me that I miss my cat. I hope you enjoy playing this short incomplete game about him.
